Contraction is a process or result of making or becoming smaller or shorter.

meaning of Expansion

Expansion is a act of something becoming larger or more extensive.In one of our experiment we did a ball and hop test.A small ball is attached to a rod and a rod is also attached to a small hop.They fit perfectly if they are not heated.Once heated the ball expands and the ball doesn't fit but once you cool the ball down the ball fits perfectly.

conduction

conduction is when heat travels through something from on end to another.We did a experiment with a rod and some pins.we had to put Vaseline on top of the pins and then attached them on a metal rod.once the Bunsen burner heat touches the rod the first pin drops instantly and the other pins drops when the heat get to it from the rod.

convection

convection is is when heat travels through a liquid or a gas.Solids vibrate more. liquid and gases when they are heated become less dense and rise.Therefore hot liquids and gases will move up and when they cool they move down.

Convection transfers heat heat by movement of fluid,liquid or gas between areas with different temperature.We did a experiment using tea bags,We first had to cut the tea back open then take out the tea leaf and we use the paper part that was left.We lit them on fire and once the fire reached the end the paper flung up and started disappearing. 

My home economics design process

In my home economics my and my group have been working on a cooking recipe for our assessment.First we had to have a stake holder.Which was Mr Taylor.second of all we had to have a shopping list,and then our time management and costings.

Chocolate pikelets

Ingredients

1 teaspoon baking soda

1 cup low fat milk

1 egg

3 tablespoons sugar 

1 cup flour

2 tablespoons cocoa powder

2 teaspoons cream of tartar

1 pinch salt

1 tablespoon margarine or 1 tablespoon butter,melted

Toppings

Chocolate syrup

Whipped cream

Method

• In a small bowl, dissolve baking soda in milk, set aside.

• In a large bowl Beat egg and sugar together until thick and pale.

• Sift flour, cocoa, cream of tartar and salt together;

• Fold the dry ingredients into the beaten egg mixture alternating with adding the milk/baking

• soda mixture;

• Last, fold in the melted butter just till combined.

• Heat a greased frying pan and cook 1-2 tablespoonfuls of the pikelet batter until bubbles

• appear on the surface; Flip the pikelets to cook on the other side for 1 minute or until golden brown

• 
  

We give the chocolate pikelets to our stakeholder and he said it tastes really good.

He said that the chocolate sauce and whipped cream tasted really good with the chocolate

pikelets.I think me and my partner did very well at planning and making the chocolate pikelets

for our stakeholder.

I like how we communicated with each other as we make the chocolate pikelets.

 This is my political work and I think I did a pretty good job on making my political work .

DTE summary blog post

 So far my group has created a plan of our game design.We are do the app sett up on google slides and planing how the app is going to be like when its created.

Our group has a grid that we write about where we are up to and who's doing what. Tevita is the quiz designer where he creates quiz about our app for the people that will play it.jrae is doing the coding for our group,he will be coding all the mean parts of our app and all the other things that we'll put in it.Isaiah and my job are the same We have to research about different sea life animals and research facts and there habitat about them.

once we have finished with the app setup,jrae will start coding coding the app,we'll try to help jrae as much as we can on coding the app.

Overall I like this class and i think This class help me a lot in learning how to code and develop games and apps and I would like to do this class next term and learn more about coding and app designing.
